Waikato District Council has opened a substantial road-resilience and urban-upgrade contract covering culverts, road raising, drainage and pavement reconstruction. Fresh public-sector work also spans university software, hospital locksmith services, council billing and meter-reading services, and CBD renewal planning.

One civil contractor is sought for major culvert upgrades, road raising, earthworks, pavement reconstruction, stormwater and retaining works, footpaths, lighting, barriers and traffic management.   • University of Auckland — student-groups system. This is an RFI for market research, not yet a purchase decision. The university wants information on software supporting club registration and membership, grants, finance, events, incident management, reporting and governance.   • Health New Zealand — Northland locksmith projects and maintenance panel. The RFP, RFx 34977808, opened at noon on 23 September and closes at noon on 21 October 2026 NZDT. It covers planned, reactive and project work across Whangārei, Bay of Islands, Dargaville and Kaitāia hospitals and community facilities.   • Nelson City Council — rates-invoice printing. The RFQ, RFx 34998581, opened at 11am on 23 September and closes at noon on 21 October 2026 NZDT. The scope covers secure data receipt, proofing, printing, folding, inserting, reconciliation and mail preparation for rates invoices, with water-invoice capability if required.   • Nelson City Council — water-meter reading services. The parallel RFQ, RFx 34999055, opened at 11am on 23 September and closes at noon on 21 October 2026 NZDT. Council has about 22,100 mechanical meters and seeks a supplier with local capacity for residential, commercial, property-sale and subdivision readings.   • Timaru District Council — CBD tile-replacement programme plan. The RFP, RFx 34993550 / reference 2828, opened at 7.30am on 23 September and closes at noon on 20 October 2026 NZDT. Experienced consultants are sought to prepare a programme investment and delivery plan for replacing pavement tiles in Timaru’s central business district. Advance notice: New Zealand Customs Service expects to go to market around 28 September for a secure, scalable activity-based-costing SaaS system supporting cost recovery, levy setting and financial advice.   • Kāinga Ora — Onehunga public-housing bundle. Home Construction Limited was awarded RFx 34511828 on 23 September to construct six houses at 30 Edmonton Avenue and 20 Gambia Place, Onehunga.   • Department of Conservation — Deepwater Basin temporary amenities. DOC’s outcome notice identifies Siteweld 2023, trading as Rest Area Solutions, for design and construction of modular or relocatable amenities. The contract was signed on 23 July for 3.5 months, with expected spend of NZ$286,853 excluding GST; GETS recorded the award on 23 September.
