RNZ is reporting that a Lower Hutt teenager has died from complications of influenza B. It said 15-year-old Katie Margaret Iti died Saturday in Hutt Hospital after being unwell for a few days. Iti's father said she was seen by a cardiologist and a surgeon, and tests found fluid around her heart.
In other news, RNZ said a 17-year-old entrepreneur is appealing after a demand from KFC regarding their logo. Also, Uber is appealing an Employment Court decision granting four drivers workplace protection.
Additionally, Auckland Football Club's owners have withdrawn their proposal to take over Western Springs Stadium, and day two of hearings for the Regulatory Standards Bill are underway after a wave of opposition to the bill on day one, RNZ said. Experts have told a Royal Commission that public reporting of lockdown breaches was ineffective, and RNZ has released pictures of the deadly beef Wellington shown to the jury in the Erin Patterson trial.
